United Way Grants Extra Gifts for Homeless
The Board of Directors on Saturday, October 29 at their Board Meeting and Retreat made additional grants to two local agencies dealing with homelessness in Kitsap County.
The two gifts were part of The William and Bernice Mahan Charitable Trust and were earmarked by the Trust and United Way of Kitsap County for vulnerable populations. The first grant is to the Salvation Army as a challenge grant for $10,000 to support another Sally’s Camp to help shelter homeless families this winter and it is hoped that community members will help by matching these funds dollar for dollar.

Welcome!
Underneath everything we are, underneath everything we do, we are all people – connected, interdependent, united. When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all.
Focusing on the critical areas of Education, Income and Health - the building blocks of a good quality of life - United Way and our partner agencies not only provide immediate relief of social problems affecting our community, but also work to alleviate the underlying causes of these issues.
Our mission is to provide leadership and support to identify community needs and leverage resources to create measurable, positive, and lasting change in people’s lives throughout Kitsap County.
We invite you to be part of the change. You can Give, you can Advocate and you can Volunteer
That is what it means to LIVE UNITED.
